I've taken the photos for a number of weddings and the way I work is that I try to capture the couple, their family and guests in three ways:

1. Planned group shots;
2. Candid (where the guests are not aware that their picture is being taken); and
3. Spontaneous shots taken of everyone throughout the day eg seated at their table.
